The mass transit system of Athens is the largest mass transit system of Greece. It consists of:
* A bus network operated by ETHEL (Etaireia Thermikon Leoforeion/Thermal Bus Company)
* An electric trolleybus network operated by ILPAP (Ilektrokinita Leoforeia Periohis Athinon–Peiraios/Electric Buses of Athens–Piraeus)
* The Athens Tram system operated by Tram S.A.
* The Athens Metro system, consisting of three lines. Line one is operated by ISAP and lines two and three by AMEL (Attiko Metro Etaireia Leitourgias, Attiko Metro Operations Company)
* A suburban rail system operated by Proastiakos
* A part (lines between Piraeus and Aghios Stefanos) of the national railways operated by OSE
