The Men's 100 metres Butterfly event was the 30th event contested on the 2007 World Aquatics Championship for Swimming.

Dunford won the subsequent swim-off to swim in finals.
The bronze medal won by Albert Subriats (VEN) was Venezuela's first medal at a FINA World Championships.
