* Fastest L

* Emerson Fittipaldi won the race and became World Champion for the first time, the youngest ever champion at 25 years and 273 days.
* The Team Lotus was forced to run only one car because the Emerson Fittipaldi's Lotus 72D damaged seriously due to the accident of the transporter that had occurred just while toward Monza. Fittipaldi used another 72D but the car was actually almost specification of the 1970 season.
