Don't Lie to Me: Yes or No
Don't lie to me currently lives up to its reputation as the ultimate interrogation on national TV that celebrities fear and somehow anticipate.
Every week, a celebrity sits on the lie detector test and gets grilled on the spot with questions regarding issues that he was involved in. John acts as the fearless interrogator who dances to a catchy tune whenever his interviewee lies.
The segment has undergone different formats in the past.
Don't Lie to Me: Couple's Edition
A celebrity tandem (sweethearts, real-life couples, siblings, rivals) sit on two separate interrogations but answer a single set of questions. For the first part, one celebrity gets interrogated while his partner is jailed inside a sound proof booth. As the 2nd celebrity takes his turn on the lie detector, the former celebrity being interviewed joins John in grilling his partner.
Don't Lie to Me: Laglagan Edition
Celebrity tandems still take the spotlight. Only this time, one star sits on the lie detector while the other gets strapped to a seat positioned on a satellite stage. Everytime the interviewee lies, his friend gets slimed with a variety of powder and goo droppings from a big funnel stationed above his head.
=Don't Lie to Me: Face-Off Edition=Apparently, to ferret out the truth, one lie detector machine is no longer enough. That's why on this edition, two celebrities sit on two separate machines and simultanesouly answer a set of questions live!
Central Jury
Ask any Kapuso Star, and they probably has dreaded the moment when they came in contact with their Killer Question. On this segment Central Jurors Mo Twister and Rufa Mae Quinto rundown the old and new issues, the featured celebrity seated on the hotseat kept mum about. At the end of the interview, the guest is asked to read his Killer Question to himself. Afterwards, the jurors give him the option to seal or reveal it. If he seals the Killer Question, it means he has to come back on future episodes to answer it. If he reveals it, he has to read the question aloud and boldly clarify it with a statement, live!
Killer Question or Killer Task?
Now, the artist on the Central Jury hotseat has option to choose between the Killer Question and the Killer Task. The Killer Task, as its' title implies, is an order that the celebrity must adhere to and perform if he opts for it.
=Star Reporter=Stars share to the viewers the pictures, videos and anecdotes of their recent travels, tapings abroad or personal escapades through this segment where they are presented as the Star Reporter for the week.
Central Booth
Showbiz Central fans (mga taga-showbiz central) post shot-outs, messages or comments to their idols via the Central Booth- a roving booth that is stationed in different malls around the metro every week.
