St. John the Baptist Church was located at the northwest corner of Green and Bremen Streets in the historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. The church was located near historic Findlay Market. This German Roman Catholic congregation was organized in 1844. The original imposing red-brick church was dedicated on November 1, 1845. A life-size statue of its patron John the Baptist, was placed in a Niche (architecture)

over the doorway. Its parent parish was Old St. Mary's Church.

The parish's annual passion play, acted out for the first time in 1917, continued until 1972. It has the distinction of having been the longest lasting theatrical presentation in Cincinnati. The Parish was closed in 1969 and the building no longer stands. Records for St. John's Parish are located in the Archdiocese archives for years 1845-1960.

The parish bell tower still stands near Findlay Market.
