Cozi was co-founded by Robbie Cape and Jan Miksovsky after the two of them left Microsoft.[2] Most of the company's employees worked previously at Amazon.com, Expedia, or Microsoft. The company's first product was called Cozi Central and released on September 25, 2006, and includes a family calendar, shopping lists, family messaging, and a photo collage screensaver. Cozi was relaunched as a web-oriented company on June 3, 2008.

Recognition
2011
On June 5, 2011, Cozi set a Guinness World Record for the longest line of ducks in a row. The line stretched for one mile and was made up of 17,782 rubber ducks.[4]

Cozi received the 2010 Industry Achievement Award organized by the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA)[5]
Cozi was a finalist for the 2010 "Washington Best Workplaces" by the Puget Sound Business Journal.[6]
The same year, Cozi was named in Lead411's Hottest Seattle Companies list.[7]
The company also won the Gold Medal in the 2010 Mom's Choice Award.[8]
