The New Zealand Institute is a privately funded think tank based in Auckland, New Zealand.
It was set up in July 2004 and is "committed to generating ideas, debate, and solutions that contribute to building a better and more prosperous New Zealand for all New Zealanders". As of 2009[update] the director is Rick Boven.
