USS Tinosa

Two United States Navy submarines have borne the name USS "Tinosa", named after the tinosa, a poisonous, black, tropical fish.

* USS Tinosa (SS-283), a "Gato" class submarine, commissioned in 1943 and struck in 1958. She made twelve war patrols in the Pacific during World War II.
* USS Tinosa (SSN-606), a "Permit" class submarine, commissioned in 1964 and struck in 1992.
