Steve Buckingham is a New Zealand rugby league player for the Auckland Lions in the NSWRL Premier League competition. His position of choice is Halfback. He is the only player to top 1000 points in the Bartercard Cup having represented the Mt Albert Lions and Auckland Lions. He won two Fox Memorial titles with the Glenora Bears. In 1997 he played two games for the Auckland Warriors under coach John Monie [http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/4/story.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=10402381] .
