album byThe Used . It was released onSeptember 28 2004 and has since been certified gold. [ [http://www.riaa.com/goldandplatinumdata.php?table=SEARCH_RESULTS RIAA Gold and Platinum Data] ] It is their most well-received and successful album to date. [ [http://www.metacritic.com/music/artists/used/inloveanddeath] ] This was the first album for whichAlex Pardee did the artwork, and he has done all artwork for The Used since. The title and music reference a number of tragic events that surrounded vocalistBert McCracken during the album's production, notably the death of his pregnant girlfriend. The themes of the album are notably darker when compared with its self-titled predecessor, with considerably less screaming in favor of a more melodic sound.Reissue
