Motorcycling Australia Sport Motorcycling Formation date 1992 Affiliation FIM President Stephen Foody Replaced Autocycle Council of Australia (founded) 1928 Official website ma.org.au Motorcycling Australia is the governing body for motorcycle racing in Australia, covering road racing, motocross, trials, supercross, dirt track, supermoto and speedway. Motorcycling Australia is affiliated with the international governing body, Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), based in Geneva, Switzerland.
The body oversees state governing bodies Motorcycling New South Wales, Motorcycling Victoria, Motorcycling Queensland, Motorcycling South Australia, Motorcycling Western Australia, Motorcycling Tasmania and Motorcycling Northern Territory.
Originally formed in 1928 as the Auto Cycle Council of Australia(ACCA) the name changed to Motorcycling Australia in 1992.
Today, the organisation has in excess of 21,000 competitors, more than 350 affiliated clubs, and over 3000 registered officials.
