Simon Fraser (born March 27, 1983 in city-state|Upper Arlington|Ohio) is an American football defensive end for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. He was signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2005. He played college football at Ohio State.
College career
At Ohio State University, Fraser was a three-time OSU Scholar-Athlete selection and a two-time Academic All-Big Ten Conference honoree, as well as a co-captain as a senior.
Professional career
Cleveland Browns
Fraser was involved in an interception against the Pittsburgh Steelers on 2006-11-19 when he hit quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, knocking him down away from the play, and hit him again when Roethlisberger got up from the ground. He was controversially flagged for roughing the passer. The personal foul for roughing put the Browns at the Steelers 44 rather than inside the 5 yardline, and the Browns did not score from that position. The final score of the game was a Steelers win, 24-20. [http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=easterbrook/061121&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab2pos1]
Atlanta Falcons
On March 7, 2008 he signed with the Atlanta Falcons.
