Edan Donald Everly (born August 25, 1968) is the son of Don Everly of the Everly Brothers and actress Venetia Stevenson. Edan's siblings are sisters Erin Everly and Stacy Everly. Nephew to Phil Everly. Soap opera actress Anna Lee was his grandmother. His grandfather was Robert Stevenson (director).

Early life

In early 1992, Edan Everly signed to Hollywood Records. His band was appropriately named “Edan”. With Julian Raymond on board as producer, the band quickly started recording tracks for their debut release, “Dead Flowers”. It featured players like Al Kooper on Hammed B-3, Tom Petersson (Cheap Trick) on bass and Luis Conte on percussion on songs like “Shot of Your Love”. The Everly Brothers appeared with Edan on “I Want To Be Myself”.

By summer of 1992, the band’s video was shot and the debut CD “Dead Flowers” was released. The band took their organic brand of rock out on the road. They found that hard rock was still the king but grunge was just about to be the newly crowned prince. Any music perceived as outside of the box or as not falling into the “alternative” category was quickly dismissed by most radio stations.

In the mid and late 1990s, Edan Everly performed at shows playing guitar and singing harmony with legendary guitar player, Albert Lee. He also wrote songs with Berton Averre (The Knack), collaborated with well-known producer/engineer, Richard Bosworth, and worked with Rick The Base Player Rosas, best known for his work with Neil Young. Another noted musician that Edan has worked with is Bill Spooner (The Tubes). Edan and Bill did a 1950’s music tribute in San Francisco. In a newspaper article Bill said, “I’m taking Edan under my wing.” Edan laid down mandolin tracks for rockabilly guitar God, Duane Eddy. legendary country guitarist Albert Lee was a mentor to Edan Everly.

Currently

Edan Everly is currently producing and writing for other artists at his studio, Starwood Studios, where he also teaches music. In September 2006, Edan released the solo album, “For The Insanity Of It All”. This was his first release since 1992. Edan is also a member of the Screen Actor's Guild.

Edan Everly currently tours for Frankie Avalon as his guitarist.

Family

Edan is married and has one daughter named Lily Edan Everly.

The late Hollywood agent Dick Clayton to many stars like James Dean, Tab Hunter, Burt Reynolds and others was Godfather to Edan Everly.

Edan Everly was once brother n law to Axl Rose.
