Norman Clyde Glacier Type Mountain glacier Location Norman Clyde Peak, Inyo County, California, USA Coordinates 37°04′45″N 118°28′40″W / 37.07917°N 118.47778°W Norman Clyde Glacier is a small glacier located in the crest of the Sierra Nevada Range in the John Muir Wilderness of Inyo National Forest in Inyo County, California. The glacier is located under the 13,920 foot (4,243 m) Norman Clyde Peak,[1] which lies on the edge of Kings Canyon National Park (in neighboring Fresno County). Both the glacier and the peak are named after California mountaineer Norman Clyde . A small ridge separates this glacier from the nearby, but larger Middle Palisade Glacier.[2]
