Episode recap

Garfield hosts a Game show, and he begins by stating that fire hydrants are filled with compressed water (rather than being connected to water pipes) and then bolted to the street; he then states to the audience that anything they hear on television is true. Next, he reveals that Wyoming isn’t a real state; it came about when Arbuckle Vespucci was designing the United States, he left an empty space, and then his assistant wrote in “Wyoming”, which is an old Italian word meaning “no state here”.
Garfield then says that cows discuss English literature when humans are not around. Then, he says that raisins are really shrunken bowling balls, and that law requires that all footstools contain orange juice, toast and sausage patties. His final revelation is that dogs have no brains, and after using Odie as an example, he notices that the audience is filled with dogs, who soon chase him into a room. Garfield tries to smooth things over, but the dogs still beat him up. Afterwards, Garfield states that he will never lie again.

Notes

*Jon is portrayed as mapmaker Arbuckle Vespucci, an obvious reference to Amerigo Vespucci.
