Seaburn is a suburb and seaside resort in the City of Sunderland, in Tyne and Wear, North East England. The village of Whitburn, South Tyneside borders the area to the north. To the west and south-west is Fulwell and to the south the coastal resort of Roker.

Most of Seaburn is low-density private housing, constructed during the middle of the 20th century. The seafront is home to a sandy ex-blue flag beach resort, seaside promenades, an amusement park, children's playgrounds, fish and chip shops, small guest houses and one four star hotel the Marriott Hotel (formerly the Seaburn Hotel or the Swallow Hotel). The main shopping street is Sea Road, which runs from the seafront up to the Seaburn Metro station.

In the late 1980s, the old Seaburn funfair was redeveloped, with a Morrisons supermarket, new amusement park and leisure centre.

Seaburn was a favourite place of the painter L. S. Lowry. [cite web |url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2003/06_june/12/lowry.shtml |title=Inside Out LS Lowry |publisher=BBC |accessdate=2008-01-26] A large Lowry painting in Morrisons supermarket is displayed.

The popular Sunderland International Airshow is held on the coast at Seaburn and Roker and is the largest free event of its kind in Europe, with a variety of aircraft, civilian and military aircraft on display. On the Tyne and Wear Metro Seaburn is served by its own station.

The suburb is part of the Fulwell ward on Sunderland City Council, represented by three Conservative councillors.
