Timothy M. Weston

Timothy M. Weston

Timothy M. Weston (born August 31, 1981), is an American cross country skier and cross country ski coach. Born and raised in Fairport, NY, Weston has been skiing since he could walk. His father, Roger Weston, was the ski coach at Fairport High School for 27 years, from the late 1970s until the early 2000s.

Weston is a former American record-holder in the 100 meters on skis. He set the record in December, 2004, at 12.70 seconds at Soldier Hollow, Utah. The following November (2005), Weston lowered his American Record, and also set a World Record for the same event, in a time of 12.40 seconds. His mark was subsequently beaten later that day. To this day, Weston is still the 2nd fastest American in the 100 meters on skis, behind only Kevin Hochtl. Weston's fastest effort is 12.13 seconds.

Among Weston's other top accomplishments are numerous All-American awards from Junior National competition between 1997-2000, NCAA All-American honors in 2003 while competing for Middlebury College, and an 8th place finish in the sprint at the 2004 Under-23 World Championships.

Weston recently finished his second year as a ski coach for the Bridger Ski Foundation, in Bozeman, MT.

Weston just began a new coaching job with the Green Mountain Valley School, in Waitsfield, VT.
