Aberdeenshire Council secondary school inWesthill , nearAberdeen ,Scotland serving the Westhill,Elrick ,Skene andKingswells areas of Aberdeenshire. People who live in skene & and the country get a school bus before and after school. However People Coming from nearby Kingswells which is in neighboring council(Aberdeen City) area have to arrange there own transport to get to school every morning.Westhill Academy opened in the autumn of 1979 in buildings designed to accommodate 500 pupils. It was extended in 1982 and then again in 1996 raising the capacity of the school to 1000 pupils. The roll of the school, in recent years, has fluctuated between 990 and 1200 pupils. There has been much talk about expanding the school yet again or even building a new school elsewhere in Westhill due to the town's rising population but no plans have been made official.Fact|date=June 2008The New Extention on the school is tiny and is starting to fall apart!
