Dominic had been a fan of adventure games, specifically LucasArts game such as the Monkey Island games. As he says in his interview, he was discussing jokingly with a friend of his, that the ideal role for him would be Guybrush Threepwood for a hypothetical sequel of the games, when two months later he was appointed for that role; this has been one of his most famous roles with LucasArts.

He reprised his role as Guybrush Threepwood in the July 2009 episodic sequel to the Monkey Island series, Tales of Monkey Island, developed by Telltale Games, as well as voicing the character in the remake of the first two original games, The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge Special Edition. He has also provided voices in several games based on the Star Wars franchise, like Star Wars: Droid Works.
