(Chinese: 魅族科技有限公司, or simply "Meizu" (Chinese: 魅族; pinyin: Mèi Zú)) is a Chinese electronics manufacturer. Meizu is the developer of the M6 Mini Player, the M3 Music Card, released in March 2007, and the M8 miniOne mobile phone, released February 2009. Later they plan to release another MP3 player based on the M8 miniOne, named the M7, but they cancelled it.
Meizu has featured at high profile events such as CeBIT 2007, in Hannover Germany, the Hong Kong Electronics Fair and the China Sourcing Fair: Electronics and Components. Due to the upcoming model M8 miniOne Meizu had some mainstream media exposure.
On 1 January 2011, Meizu released the M9 Android smartphone across China.[1]
