Biography
Michelle Tuzee is an anchor for ABC Los Angeles affiliate KABC-TV. Michelle graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California where she majored in Journalism. Michelle’s first job in television news was at KJCT in Grand Junction, Colorado where she was a general assignment reporter and later a producer and anchor. Those positions led to a medium market job with WBAY-TV, Green Bay, Wisconsin where she worked as a reporter.
Michelle went on to work at WFTX in Fort Myers, Florida, where she was a reporter and eventually anchor of the nightly newscasts. There she received an award from the Associated Press for a series of reports on teen suicide.
Prior to arriving at KABC-TV she was anchor at WSVN in Miami, Florida for the top-rated "Today in Florida" and "7 News at Noon."
In 1997, Michelle joined KABC-TV as an anchor for the station’s Eyewitness News 4 pm and 6 pm newscasts with Marc Brown. When Laura Diaz left KABC-TV to work for KCBS-TV, Michelle was promoted to the 11 pm anchor position.[2]
In August 2007, Michelle and Marc Brown began anchoring the 5 pm and 11 pm newscasts, and David Ono and Ellen Levya replaced her and Brown on the 4pm and 6pm newscasts.
Personal
Michelle is married. She and her husband have three children.
