John Egerton, 2nd Duke of Bridgewater

John Egerton, 2nd Duke of Bridgwater (29 April 1727 – 26 February 1748), known as Lord John Egerton until 1727 and as Marquess of Brackley from 1727 to 1745, was a British peer and politician.

The son of the 1st Duke of Bridgewater and Lady Rachael Russell, he succeeded to his father's titles in 1745.

Egerton died intestate, aged only 20 from a fever and was buried in Little Gaddesden in Hertfordshire on 4 March 1748. He was unmarried and was succeeded by his younger brother Lord Francis Egerton.
