governing_body =Statesview is an historic home located on Peters Road off U.S. 70, approximately 10 miles south of
Knoxville, Tennessee . The main portion of the house is has two floors, but it also includes a one story wing on the east end. It is on theNational Register of Historic Places .Colonel Charles McClung hired Thomas Hope to build the brick home circa
1806 . The home was damaged by fire in1823 . It was sold to Frederick S. Heiskell in1835 , after Colonel McClung's death. Mr. Heiskell was a Knoxville newspaper publisher. The house remains a private residence.References
