*1936 Name of the OMA changed to The Institute of Office Management
*1942 The IOM in conjunction with the LSE publishes the First Clerical Salaries analysis.
*1946 The IOM in conjunction with Regent Street Polytechnic, London launches examination scheme.
*1948 The first members Journal is launched
* 1971 The IOM initiates the Office of the Year Award
* 1972 THE IOM changes its name to The Institute of Administrative Management
