Providence Industrial Mission (PIM) was founded by John Chilembwe after his return to Malawi in 1900 from the United States. PIM continues today to operate in conjunction with the the [http://www.fmbusainc.org/ Foreign Mission Board of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.] . Chilembwe's original church was rebuilt and assorted monuments commemorate his legacy. PIM also has a large village nearby which has market days on Tuesday and Saturday.
