Alf Cleverley

Alf Cleverley

Alfred "Alf" John Cleverley (1907 – August 2, 1992) was a boxer from New Zealand, who represented his native country at the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He and his friend, the eventual gold medalist Ted Morgan, were the only two boxers named in the ten men strong 1928 New Zealand Olympic team for the Amsterdam Games.

In 1928 he was an apprentice fitter at the Hutt Workshops of the New Zealand Railways.
