Kaifun (also transliterated Kafun,Kaifoun) is a village in the Mount Lebanon Governorate, Aley District, in the Republic of Lebanon. It lies slightly south of the village of Souk El Gharb

The town has a majority Shia-Muslim population. During the Israel-lebanon 2006 War its population, swelled by refugees, went from about 3,000 to 50,000 over stretching its water supply and causing a humanitarian crisis. These attacks resulted in a mini war in which the hezbollah were severely defeated and lost more than a 100 men to the druze.
