Sir Anthony Abdy, 5th Baronet

Sir Anthony Thomas Abdy, 5th Baronet KC (c. 1720 – 7 April 1775) was a British politician and barrister.

The son of Sir William Abdy, 4th Baronet and Mary Stotherd, he was educated at Felsted School and at St John's College, Cambridge. In 1738, Abdy was called to the Bar by Lincoln's Inn and was made a King's Counsel in 1765. He was Member of Parliament (MP) for Knaresborough from 1763 to 1775. Having succeeded to his father's baronetcy in 1750, he inherited also the estates of Sir John Abdy, 4th Baronet, the great-grandchild of the brother of his great-grandfather, in 1759. Abdy was succeeded by his younger brother Sir William Abdy, 6th Baronet.

On 13 August 1747, he married Catherine Hamilton, daughter of William Hamilton in St Paul's Cathedral in London. Their marriage was childless.
