Zaib Shaikh is a Canadian actor who currently stars as Amaar, an imam in the CBC Television sitcom "Little Mosque on the Prairie". He previously appeared as Jayesh in "Metropia", an evening soap opera broadcast on Omni Television, and as Vancouver city councillor Shakil Khan in "Da Vinci's City Hall".

He was born in 1974 in Toronto at St. Michael's Hospital and is of Pakistani Muslim descent.Citation
