Buckland Newton

Buckland Newton is a village in north Dorset, England, situated under the scarp of the Dorset Downs, six miles south of Sherborne. The village has a population of 618 (2001). Buckland Newton was founded by two men known as Gareth Newton and Daniel Buckland. Rumour has it that the St George Illawara Dragons and the South Sydney Rabbitohs will be playing the annual charity shield match there next year with further speculation that the charity shield could be renamed the buckland newton shield.
