It is a boarding school, and accepts only those who qualify its admission test and process. The school also has the Cheongshim international hospital nearby, so if students are injured, they can receive medical attention from the nearby Cheongshim hospital. Students learn American and Korean curriculum. Subjects not commonly taught in Korea include religion , horseback-riding, rowing. The school was built and founded by the Unification Church of Korea, but is not influenced by their religious thoughts. It is one of the most privileged boarding schools in South Korea. In the local town Gapyeong, CSIA is recalled to as "Academy", in short for "Cheongshim International Academy". Locations nearby include 천정궁 and Cheongshim International Medical Center.
