The "Harvard Asia Pacific Review" ("HAPR") is a semi-annual journal about the Asia-Pacific Region published by students at Harvard University. The Harvard Asia Pacific Review solicits contributions from leading scholars, politicians, businessmen and cultural figures in and about the Asia-Pacific region.
Founded in 1996 by a small group of Harvard students, the Harvard Asia Pacific Review now has an annual circulation of over 10,000 and is distributed widely in the United States, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.
The Harvard Asia Pacific Review has featured contributions from academics including Ezra Vogel, Larry Summers, Shing-Tung Yau, Wang Gungwu and Stephen Owen; from businessmen such as Ronnie Chan, Jin Liqun and Fred Hu; from political figures such as Jiang Zemin, Christopher Patten, Ma Ying-jeou, Wen Jiabao, Takako Doi, and Aung San Suu Kyi; and from cultural figures such as I.M. Pei, Jackie Chan and Im Kwon Taek.
