Harry Edwards, born
November 22 ,1942 inEast St. Louis ,Illinois , is anAfrican-American sociologist, and author of "The Revolt of the Black Athlete." An alumnus ofSan Jose State University andCornell University , Dr. Edwards is currently Professor Emeritus of Sociology at theUniversity of California, Berkeley .In 1968, Edwards was the architect of the Black Power Salute protest by African-American athletes at the
