The Danish Confederation of Trade Unions (Danish: "Landsorganisationen i Danmark" or LO) is a national trade union centre, an umbrella organisation for Danish trade unions, founded January 3, 1898. [ [http://www.dk-arbejdsmarked.dk/arbejdsmarkedsleksikon/term.html?id=3122 LO - Portal om dansk arbejdsmarked ] ] The organisation is the largest national trade union confederation in Denmark, its affiliates gathering approximately 1.34 million members, mainly Blue-collar workers.

The Danish Confederation of Trade Unions carries the role of coordinating collective bargaining. It also seeks to influence the government and the political parties when it comes to drafting and implementing legislation, especially in relation to labour market policies. It represents the trade union movement's interests on various boards, commissions and committees.

The Danish labour market has a high level of unionisation compared to most other European countries, approximately 75 percent.
