- Hryhory Loboda
Hryhory Loboda ( _uk. Григорій Лобода, "Hryhoriy Loboda"; _pl. Grzegorz Łoboda) (born in the
Kiev region — died May 1596), was aHetman of the Ukrainian Cossacks (1593–6, with interruptions). In 1594 and 1595 he andSeveryn Nalyvaiko took part in the anti-Turkish campaign inMoldavia as allies of Rudolf II. During the Cossack rebellion of 1596, Loboda and Nalyvaiko raided theKijów Voivodeship neighboring territory which is nowBelarus . Loboda was assassinated by Nalyvaiko's supporters during theBattle of Solonytsia , under suspicion of attempting to come to terms withStanisław Żółkiewski , crown hetman of the Poles.
