Immanuel College, Adelaide, South Australia is a Lutheran school in Adelaide.
General Information
Immanuel College is the only Lutheran college in Adelaide that has boarders. Immanuel College was first situated in Point Pass then moved to North Adelaide. During WWII the college moved to Walkerville due to suspicions because of their teachings of the German Language. It then moved to Novar Gardens and celebrated it's 50th anniversary of being in this spot in 2007. The principal is Kevin Richardson. Its sister school is Concordia College in Highgate.
Boarding
The boarding facilities at the college consist of a main boarding house, a series of units, and six houses. The rooms within the boarding house are either six or four person roomss and are numbered/lettered B1, B2 etc for boys and G1, G2 etc for girls. The units are numbered U1, U2 etc. The houses are named after the word for "Peace" in various languages. The names are: Heiwa, Pengon, Tangokorro, Frieden, Shalom and Koinonia.
