Orion Full name Orion Football Club Founded 1885 Dissolved 1903 Orion Football Club were a Scottish football team who played in the city of Aberdeen between 1885 and 1903.
They were one of the three clubs who merged on the 14th of April 1903 to form the current Aberdeen F.C.; the other two being Aberdeen and Victoria United.[1]
Orion won two Northern League championships, in 1897 and 1899.[2]
In 1885, Bon Accord were mistakenly invited to compete in the Scottish Cup instead of Orion, and went on to lose 36-0, a world record football score.[3]
