Antrim , Viscount Lisburne and Lord Vaughan, Baron of Fethard, Co.Tipperary , in thePeerage of Ireland , (30 October 1800 –8 November 1873 ), was known during his father's lifetime as Viscount Vaughan from 1820 to 1831, and was a BritishMember of Parliament .Lisburne was the son of
John Vaughan, 3rd Earl of Lisburne &c., whom he succeeded onMay 18 ,1831 , by his spouse the Hon. Lucy (d. 1821), fifth daughter of William, 2nd Viscount Courtenay. As this was anIrish peerage after 1801 it did no longer entitled him to a seat in theHouse of Lords unless elected as aRepresentative Peer . He was instead elected to the House of Commons for Cardiganshire in 1854, a seat he held until 1859.The Earl of Lisburne married firstly, on
August 27 ,1835 , Mary (d. 1851), second daughter of Sir Laurence Palk, Bt., by his spouse Lady Elizabeth Vaughan. He remarriedApril 5 ,1853 , the Hon. Harriet Elizabeth, daughter of Colonel Henry Hugh Mitchell, she being a Maid of Honour to Queen Adelaide.There was issue from both marriages including his eldest son and heir
