Wright Brothers Medal

Wright Brothers Medal

Established in 1927, this award recognizes individuals who have made notable contributions in the engineering design, development, or operation of air and space vehicles. It is administered by the
SAE and is based on contributed research papers.

The award honors Wilbur and Orville Wright as the first successful builders of heavier-than-air craft.
