The Governor

"The Governor" music video features animation from Joel Veitch and Rob Manuel. It also features a punk kitten and two foxes, one on drums, and one on a guitar. The song lists the ways money can be stolen from the British government.

It also serves as a general critique of British lower class anti-social behavior, and the nation's welfare system. The song, influenced by U.S. gangsta rap, is distinctly British in idiom and tone. Instead of celebrating the outlaw lifestyle, it satirizes and condems it. It purports to serve as a general warning. But like many similar efforts, its message can be read as an endorsement.
