Ensign aboard theUSS Seahawk where she had replaced her future husbandLieutenant Bud Roberts as the ship's public affairs officer. Later in the season she transferred to JAG headquarters, attached to the administrative staff and she began her relationship with Bud. Despite some last minute second thoughts Harriet marries Bud in the penultimate episode of the third season [cite episode |title= Wedding Bell Blues |series= JAG |serieslink= JAG |season= 3 |number= 23] . While Navy regulations state that married couples cannot serve together, Admiral Chegwidden pulls some strings and has Harriett transferred to the department of theInspector General while remaining attached to the JAG headquarters administrative staff.Harriet and Bud have five children together:
* A.J. Roberts (named in the honour of RAdmA.J. Chegwidden , however not taking his proper first names "Albert Jethro.")
