Rustum Roy (born
July 3 ,1924 ) is a materials scientist, science policy analyst, advocate of interdisciplinary education andalternative medicine , andscience and religion . Roy holds visiting professorships inmaterials science atArizona State University and in medicine at theUniversity of Arizona , as well as emeritus honors atPennsylvania State University (Penn State) in three fields.Education and career
Roy was born, and received both BS and MS degrees in chemistry in India. He earned a Ph.D. in
ceramic s at Penn State in 1948, and became an American citizen in 1961. He had a long career at Penn State ingeochemistry and materials science. He founded the Materials Science Laboratory at Penn State and authored hundreds of technical papers. Roy is a member of theNational Academy of Engineering . His recent work has been on the relevance of the structure of water tohomeopathy [Roy R.
