"It Takes Two" is a 1988 hip hop song by Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock. It went platinum and is sometimes considered the greatest hip-hop song of all time [ [http://wm08.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=33:hjfwxqrdldde allmusic ] ] . VH1 ranked it 37 in its 100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs list. The song samples heavily from from Lyn Collins' 1972 song "Think (About It)", using multiple drum breaks, the well known "Woo! Yeah!" sample, as well as the lyric sung by Collins which gives "It Takes Two" its title.

The track is featured on the soundtrack of the 1991 video game "Action 52" and the 2004 video game, "" on the hip-hop radio station . It is the "B-7" song, the favorite dance song of Randy in the TV show "My Name is Earl". The song also appears in the 2000 movie "Coyote Ugly".

The song was sampled by DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince in their song "I Wanna Rock" in their 1993 album "Code Red".

* "It Takes Two" was featured prominently in the pilot episode of the NBC sitcom "My Name Is Earl", which aired on September 20, 2005. It has also been featured in several subsequent episodes as one of Randy's favorite songs (whenever someone plays it on the jukebox he exclaims "Oh no you didn't!" and begins a "hooking the big one" dance.) At the Crabshack you must press B-7 to play the song.
* "It Takes Two" was featured in "Dancing with the Stars" when Mario Lopez danced to it in the freestyle round of the Season 2 finale.
