Gary Chevsky

Gary Chevsky (born 11 September, 1972 in Odessa, USSR) was the founding architect of Ask.com. He immigrated to the United States in 1988 and settled in San Francisco, California.

From 1995 to 2006, Gary worked on question answering and information retrieval technologies at Ask Jeeves (now Ask.com).

He is currently a Vice President of Engineering in the Consumer Business Unit (famous for its Norton brand) at Symantec Corporation, developing the next generation of web security technologies, such as [http://safeweb.norton.com Norton Safe Web] .

Gary holds one patent [http://www.freepatentsonline.com/7403938.html #7403938] and has another pending [http://www.freepatentsonline.com/US20070078842.html #20070078842] in the area of natural language processing and information retrieval.
