Uschi Keszler (born
August 13 1948 inMannheim ,Baden-Württemberg ,Germany ) is a former West Germanfigure skater and current international figure skating coach and choreographer.Uschi Keszler became German champion in 1965. She was forced to finish her figure skating career at the age of 17 (in 1966) due to
tuberculosis . She spent 8 months in hospital due to this. She wanted to continue but no physician allowed her to do so.At the age of 18 she moved to the U.S. and became a figure skating coach. She married
Aram Boornazian . The couple has a son, Marc. In 1998 Uschi Keszler became a grandmother.Keszler is known primarily for her work with Canadian skaters
Brian Orser ,Elvis Stojko , andShae-Lynn Bourne andVictor Kraatz . She is known for inventing the term "hydroblading " to refer to skating on deep edges low to the ice, and using it as a training technique.Uschi Keszler works currently at the IceWorks rink in
