Hemayet Bahini

Hemayet Bahini (হেমায়েত বাহিনী) was a guerilla independence militia of Bangladesh in 1971.

Hemayet Uddin, the brave leader of this small but furious team was so influential that the force took the name, Hemayet Bahini or the Force of Hemayet.

In 1971, the Pakistani military force started genocide and rape without any border.Fact|date=May 2008 At that time, the young civilians took part in the war along with the armed Bangalis. The main force was Mukti Bahini, led by General Osmani; but other little forces worked in limited areas, such as, Kaderiya Bahini in Tangail zone and Hemayet Bahini in Faridpur zone.

Hemayet Bahini was very popular among the Bengalis and stories about their work reached mythic proportions.
