CoCreate is Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Product Data Management ( [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Product_Data_Management PDM] ) software.

CoCreate products, 2D CAD, 3D CAD, and PDM were first developed by the Hewlett-Packard Mechanical Design Division (MDD) in the mid-80s and early-90s. During this time, CoCreate pioneered the "explict modeling" approach for 3D design. In 1997, CoCreate became a subsidiary of Hewlett-Parkard and then in 2000 became a independent privately held company, owned by private equity investors.

On December 3, 2007, Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC) (NASDAQ|PMTC) acquired CoCreate (CoCreate Software GmbH) for approximately $250 million. As a part of PTC, CoCreate products will be maintained, enhanced, and further developed as an integral sixth product family for the PTC Product Development System. The CoCreate product family is explicit CAD, PDM and collaboration software.

The CoCreate product family is developed in two PTC locations
