Trisquel

Trisquel GNU/Linux is an operating system based on Debian GNU/Linux and sponsored by the 'Xunta of Galicia' and the University of Vigo.

There are three versions in an install-Live CD mode:

* "TrisGuel", with GNOME 2.14 (AIGLX + Compiz)
* "TrisKel", with KDE 3.5.
* "Trisguel PeMe", for Enterprises

Characteristics

"Trisquel GNU/Linux" includes:

* Support for the Galician, Spanish and English languages.
* Linux Kernel version 2.6.18.6
* Common software of GNU Project.
* GNOME 2.14 / IceWM+Rox
* KDE 3.5
* OpenOffice.org 2
* Iceweasel complety preconfigured, based on Firefox 2.
* Wine
* AIGLX
* Compiz
* Ability to coexist with other operating systems such as Windows and Mac OS X.
* 1700 drivers.
* Works in 32-bit and 64-bit processors, and new Macs (with Intel processors).

Minimum requirements

* PC with 200 MHz, 64 Megabyte RAM and 3 Gigabyte hard disk space.
