Drumball is a game that closely resembles monkey in the middle (also known as Keep Away). The name of the game is somewhat ironic as it is played not with a drum and a ball, but with drumsticks and a roll of masking tape.
Rules
A normal game of drumball has four players: two on opposite ends of the playing surface and two in the middle, facing each other. An outside player swiftly rolls the roll of masking tape toward the second outside player, and one of the middle players attempts to capture the roll of masking tape by spearing it with a drumstick. If the player succeeds, he/she switches with the player who first threw the masking tape. If he does not succeed, the second outside player catches the masking tape and then rolls it back; now it is the second middle player's turn to attempt to capture the masking tape.
The game can be played with just one middle player with a drumstick; in this case the middle player goes after every throw. Or, the two middle players can stagger their positions and both try to capture every throw.
