"Her Name Is Nicole" is the first solo album by American R&B singer Nicole Scherzinger, lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls. Originally slated to be released in 2007, the album is put on hold while Scherzinger promotes the Dolls' second album, "Doll Domination".

On February 12, 2008, Scherzinger talked about the album via her official site blog but she didn't reveal a release date

To date, Interscope and Scherzinger have not made any announcement on the official release date. A recent interview with Robin Antin confirmed that the second Pussycat Dolls album will be released first, followed by a revised solo album from Scherzinger.

On August 18, 2008, in an interview with MTV UK, Scherzinger announced that her album was still being released but with a revised tracklisting after some of the songs were given to the Pussycat Dolls for their 2008 studio album, "Doll Domination".cquote|For me it was what I wanted to do. I’m a relentless perfectionist and I realised that a lot of the songs from my record should be Pussycat Dolls songs including (single) "When I Grow Up".

I believe it will come out next year, and it will be able to coexist wonderfully with the Dolls album. "Physical" was played as a background song in the film '. "Get Into It", an original version of "Puakenikeni", was played in a CW commercial. "Baby Love" was used for German Vybemobile's TV commercial and Samsung's campaign. "Happily Never After" was played in an episode of "Gossip Girl". "Power's Out" was played as a background in a Revlon commercial, starring Jessica Alba. "Just Say Yes" was sung by Nicole in an episode of '. The song was recorded for the second album by The Pussycat Dolls, but remains unreleased. "Whatever U Like" was played as a background song in an episode of Las Vegas.

Recorded songs

During the "Her Name Is Nicole" sessions Scherzinger recorded a number of songs. The following tracks were released as an album tracklisting through Amazon UK in 2007 and is therefore officially the tracklist of the unreleased album. Two songs were also set to be released to iTunes as exclusive downloads, but however aren't found in the music store, probably because of the album pushed back again. She also confirmed to MTV UK that she was giving some of her songs to the Pussycat Dolls for their 2008 studio album "Doll Domination".
